ATLANTA–Internet retail giant Amazon announced this morning they would hire same sex couples to deliver packages in the metropolitan Atlanta area. The move is set to ramp up acceptance of same sex couples, and hopes to bring about the eventual legalization of same sex marriage in the state of Georgia.
The service will come at the same cost as current deliveries, but packages will be delivered by a specially trained hyper-friendly same sex couple.
Amazon’s delivery couples have been hand selected for their unflagging positivity and friendliness. The retail giant says they’ll not only deliver your package, but brighten your day, and hopefully bring much needed social change little by little.
Atlanta joins several other metro areas already getting Amazon’s same-sex delivery, including Baltimore, Boston, Dallas and Washington D.C.
